The bottom line is that the food and drug industry is not here to get you well, what it cares about the most is making money! It comes up with great words, pictures, and crafty sentences to make you think that dangerous, unhealthy foods that will cause health troubles are actually healthy for you. One of these dangerous things is artificial sweeteners. Sure, they make things sugar-free, but is sugar-free healthy?

Foods that contain artificial sweeteners like aspartame (Equal), neotame, Splenda, or saccharine upset the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.

They also drastically increase a person’s chance of having a stroke or heart attack: In 2011, research presented at the American Stroke Association’s International Stroke Conference showed people who drank diet soda daily had a 61%  increased risk of cardiovascular events compared to those who drank no soda. Consumption of diet soda is also linked to brain cell damage.

Like Aspartame, neotame is linked to severe neurotoxic and immunotoxin damage as it metabolizes into toxic formaldehyde and other toxic substances. They are carcinogenic and deadly to your health.

In pregnant women, artificial sweeteners disrupt fetal development by aborting it or inducing defects. They can seriously damage the DNA, which can affect the health of future generations as well.

If your answer in avoiding sugar-free drinks is to go back to their sugar-filled alternatives, think again: sugary drinks can be just as toxic for your health!

Too much sugar leads to obesity, as well as other major health issues such as high blood pressure, inflammation, and skin and teeth issues.

Why else should you stay away from sugary drinks?

Large amounts of sugar turn to fat in the liver, may cause insulin resistance and chronically elevate your insulin levels, and increase your propensity for cancer and heart disease. What can you try instead?

If you want a good substitute for sweeteners and sugar, try plant-based Stevia, Monk fruit sweetener, or date sugar.

Remember: stay away from Equal, Splenda, saccharin, and neotame.

You can check out various independent research that has confirmed aspartame alone is linked to neurological problems, birth defects, obesity, cancer, memory, and brain cell damage.

I suggest that you read the book Timeless Secrets of Health and Rejuvenations that is written by Andreas Moritz to read more about these things, as well as to unleash the healing power within you.

Remember: you are on your own when it comes to protecting your health and the health of your family. To be on the safe side, I strongly recommend avoiding or eliminating–or at least greatly reducing– most processed foods and beverages, including:

  • chewing gums
  • tabletop sweeteners
  • flavored water products
  • Sugar-free foods and drinks
  • Diet sodas and cereals.
