The best gift that we can give to someone is the gift of good information. When someone reads a book that they can apply to their life, it gives them power.

We often struggle to figure out what to give a friend or a family member for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions. Don’t struggle: instead, give your love and knowledge to empower the life of your family and friends.

For example, when I am invited to someone’s wedding, I make it a point to give them books on relationships.

One of my favorite books for a couple is  Five Love Languages by Gary Smiley.

You may have already heard of this book. This book helps you understand what your particular love language is, as well as the love language of your partner. This helps you to not only better understand your partner but how to convey your love and appreciation to them in a way that they can best feel it.

Another book I like is His Needs, Her Needs: Building an Affair-Proof Marriage by Dr. William Hillard.  The title alone lets you know why you need to read this! In this book, Dr. Hillard identifies the top ten needs for men and women, and how you can meet those needs of your spouse.

For a loved one’s birthday or any special occasion, I like to give them books on health and wellness.

My favorite book is by Dr. Dean Ornish: Undo It!: How Simple Lifestyle Changes Can Reverse Most Chronic Diseases.

Wow, this book is important! Can you imagine gifting your mom or your brother a book that would give them the information they needed to get rid of their serious health problems!

Also, if you follow me on social media or my blog, you will see that I share a lot from Dr. Dean Ornish.

I also really like Your Body’s Many Cries for Water by Dr. F. Batmanghelidj’.

This book details over 20 years of research and teaches us that by the time we feel thirsty, it is too late–we are already getting dehydrated! It also shows us everything that can go wrong when we are not hydrated.

Dr. Michael Gregor has two books that I often recommend and give as gifts: How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease and How Not to Diet: The Groundbreaking Science of Healthy, Permanent Weight Loss

Both of these books are written by the internationally-renowned nutrition expert, physician, and founder of the Nutrition Facts website, and they employ cutting-edge research and facts to show how you can radically change your life for the better.

My life is much more enriched, and I have learned to be a better version of myself.

Why not bless others with a good gift that will bring health and happiness?

Also remember, when it comes to your health, it’s not just what you put into your body or how often you exercise…but it’s how you think, feel, and the energy that you put out into the world.

That’s why alongside health and wellness, I also read so much about finance, leadership, and other self-Improvement areas.

For a few other classic books I recommend:

Think and Grow Rich

The Magic of Thinking Big

How to Win Friends and Influence People

Here is my motto: you can miss a meal, but do not miss a day without feeding your mind and soul. Read at least 15 minutes every morning and 15 minutes every evening, and see how your life will change to be better.
