When it comes to your health, you think you are doing pretty well. You are eating mostly healthy foods, you exercise once in a while, or maybe even regularly, like 3 to 5 times a week, and you have little or moderate stress in your life. Sure, you have little aches and pains. Doesn’t everybody?

Maybe you’re not your ideal weight, your sleep isn’t as good as you want it to be, and your energy levels are okay…but definitely not what they used to be.

You find that perhaps your aches and pains last longer. Your energy slumps happen more frequently. Maybe you get more headaches or have digestive issues.

But still – you are not SICK. Isn’t this all just a part of getting older?

In one word: NO! These are your body’s little ways of telling you that not all is right…and you only have a small window of time to address it before things get really, really wrong. (And that means messy, complicated).

Imagine you are driving the car of your dreams and you love it! How lucky are you!? But after a few years, the check engine light comes on. You take it to service and it goes off. A few months later, it happens again. You feel like the car is just not driving the same. You don’t know that anything is wrong, necessarily…but not all is right, either? What do you do then?

You find a good service technician, you figure out the cause of it, and you fix it. After all, this is your dream car! You want to make sure it is well taken care of, and functioning at the highest level possible.

Now….let us look at your dream life and your body. Do you see the connection to your dream car?

All the things that I mentioned above, like the feeling of slowing down, problems with energy, sleep, or aches and pains…all of these feelings of something “not quite right” are the check engine signs, and your body, the smartest computer, is telling you to find the cause so it goes away, just like in your dream car.

How can you do that? How can you find out and address the reason for your body’s “check engine” light, before your body breaks down with a serious health issue?

Have you heard the saying that “Prevention is better than the cure?” Anyone who has been seriously ill with cancer, diabetes, or a heart attack can attest to the truth in that statement.

Maybe you went to your General Practice Physician and they gave you some feedback, you got tests done, and you saw a specialist for your other issue. Now you are getting things diagnosed, but you are still dealing with a lot of issues and on a lot of medicine.

A lot of money and time is invested, but there is still no real answer to what is the cause of all this.

Does this sound familiar?

You need traditional health care when health problems are acute; that means when they show up immediately, like having an accident or injury where you need immediate medical care.

For chronic health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, asthma, and many more, the goal is to find the cause of it and remove that cause. Then BINGO – you are well.

As a Pharmacist who’s been active in the healthcare arena for the last 40+ years, even I got to the point where my check engine light was on and I had been ignoring it.

Ten years ago, when I was 56, I had gone through so many doctors and so many medications, only to still have the same issues. I needed to get educated and find the root cause of my issues.

Fast forward ten years: I am not on any medication. I come from a family of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, arthritis, and obesity, like many of you. So, those of us who come from this background have to watch out and take more extra care than people who have good genes.

You are not broken; you do not need transformation but a tune-up.

I had a recent client who was having minor aches and pain. He came to me and got his “tune-up” and told me his aches and pain have gone down 70- 80%, and his energy level is excellent instead of “just good.”

What did he do to see these results? He participated in coaching with me and made some minor shifts and changes over 2-4 weeks.

Do you feel like you need a tune-up? Let me help you find what needs to be tuned up. Much like cars, we all are different and require different care. My goal is to work with you as a unique individual and come up with a plan that will take care of that check engine light, and make sure it is gone for good.
