Everyone wants to be Healthy Life and sometimes we aren’t sure what to do. We try the latest health fads or the newest diets but often what’s missing is just avoiding some serious health mistakes.

What are the three simplest mistakes people make or ignore for their own health?

If you master the following, you’ll see your health transformed!

  • Not sleeping well

I am not talking about how many hours you sleep, but about the quality of your sleep. Some people need five hours or even less and they feel refreshed while someone else can get 8+ hours of sleep and still feel tired. I was in the second category about 10 years ago. I changed that and now at age 66, the state of my health is similar to a 40-year-old.

Sleep is the time when your body is resting, repairing, and detoxing. Most people, young or old, are not getting restful sleep. This causes tiredness, mental fog, and other chronic health problems like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and more.

You can do a few things to improve your quality of sleep. Prepare yourself for restful sleep up to one hour before bedtime using this article that describes the steps.

If you are overweight – or even if you aren’t – you could have sleep apnea. See a sleep apnea specialist for their advice.

Go to bed with an empty stomach. Your last food should be 4 hours before bedtime. Stay tuned, because in my next article I will dive deep and tell some of the reasons for poor sleep and how to go about fixing it.

  • Holding Resentment or Anger

Healthy Life

I cannot stress more the need for emotional health. You all have heard that illness is affected by the mind. In fact, about 90% of all sickness comes from emotional pain.

Are you holding on to grudges? Is there someone of whom you think, “I will never forgive…?”

It is important for all levels of health for you to easily forgive yourself and others. If you struggle with frustration or depression, this article can help. Remember: it will only harm your health if you are easily upset, angry, and use foul language.

You have to take care of this part of your life if you want to stay healthy. I was having some issues in this area until about 10 years ago when I got professional help and was able to resolve my issues. It turned around my health.

Do whatever is required – getting help, forgiving someone, seeking therapy, etc. If you have to forgive someone or yourself, do it. Do not waste time holding onto grudges. Release any resentment or anger that is affecting your health and your relationship. Use these tips to manage stress.

  • Not Using Self-Discipline

Most of us fail in life not because we aren’t smart, or because we don’t know what to do. We know what to do, but we don’t do it because we lack self-discipline.

This is an area I had problems in. I had to learn some accountability so I could do what I needed to do. (I’ll be talking a lot about this and more in next month’s free webinar)

For this, you may find a coach to make sure you stay on track. I do not like to do a lot of things, so I have a personal coach who I have to answer to every week to say if I kept my promises or not. Having someone to hold me accountable has helped me improve my life.

It is also important to discipline the mind, as I describe in this article on calming your inner thoughts. There are many areas in which you will succeed with self-discipline, but you must make it a priority.

These three things are not hard to understand but need to be made a priority to really improve your health. Avoiding these mistakes will get you far in achieving the state of health you desire.

Conclusion

In the pursuit of good health, we often find ourselves entangled in various health fads and diets, but sometimes the simplest mistakes go unnoticed. By addressing these three critical aspects, you can significantly transform your health and well-being.
