Here a just a few reasons why you should walk, stretch and move to aid in destressing:

  • When you move you improve your blood circulation and you are breathing deeper.
  • Movement gives you a mini break to relax your body and mind.
  • Put a timer on your smartphone every 30 minutes so you get up and stretch and also drink a glass of water to hydrate yourself.
  • When you come back from a mini break of 5 minutes you are more energized and productive and will still be fresh and not tired.
  • This is called working smarter not harder. 
  • Make sure to do diaphragmatic breathing (deep breathing) as you take a mini break.

These are small things to do, but if they are compounded daily you will look back 5 years from now and you will be amazed at what great things you have accomplished.
